The most common issues
Images without alternative text, text with too little contrast (below 4.5:1 for normal text), buttons and links without an accessible name, form fields without labels and a missing page language. These errors can be detected automatically and usually fixed with a few lines of code.
How CheckEAA tests
We open your page in a real Chromium browser and run the axe-core rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA. Each issue gets a severity, the WCAG criterion, the EN 301 549 clause, a plain explanation and a code example.
Paid plans scan up to 250 pages from your sitemap and repeat the scan every week.
Limits of automation
Some criteria need human judgment, for example whether headings structure the content well or whether videos have correct captions. The report shows how many checks need a manual review.
